Ilife-iSkweletu Clothing Brand: We Owe It To Ourselves To Be Successful Established in 2023 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, Ilife-iSkweletu Clothing Brand was born from a very personal journey. Our founder grew up in a family that was neither rich nor poor — a childhood without fancy clothes or a fancy life. But in that simplicity, a love was born: a love for hip-hop, for poetry, and for supporting upcoming artists. Listening to their music, one message became clear — they were healing through their art, while building a future. It was then that a deeper understanding came: God gave us life, but we owe it to ourselves to make that life successful. We have to pay for it — with hard work, with passion, with purpose. That is Ilife-iSkweletu. What started as a dream in 2023 has become more than a clothing brand. It is Kasi culture, it is resilience, it is a movement from Durban to the world.
